Job Objective: Briefly describe the main purpose of this position.
The Process Engineer is an established performer that is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production of high-quality products. This role involves analyzing current processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall operational efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Position: Using brief, bulleted, narrative statements, describe the main tasks and responsibilities that an employee in this position would be expected to manage.
Design and develop manufacturing processes, workflows, and procedures to optimize efficiency and quality.
Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement in existing processes.
Analyze production data to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
Participate on product and new process development teams, making recommendations of manufacturing feasibility and evaluating expenditures.
Recommend manufacturing concepts while developing and implementing suitable manufacturing processes.
Assist with identifying equipment allocations and unique tooling required for new product implementation.
Responsible for implementing and coordinating revisions and improvements to tooling according to customer or product specifications.
Collaborate closely with Engineering, Production, and Maintenance teams to implement process changes and improvements.
Provide technical support and guidance to other teams as needed.
Work on projects and assignments as part of a large work team.
Perform accurate analyses, conduct research, and draw meaningful conclusions about potential job/work-area impacts.
Effectively apply functional, process, and procedural or technical knowledge to address business challenges.
Perform other duties as needed.
Required Experience and Education: Describe the education, years of experience, and any certifications necessary to complete the duties and responsibilities of this position.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
2-4 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
Six-Sigma and/or Lean certifications are desirable.
Competencies: Describe the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position in terms of technical, managerial, interpersonal skills and unique abilities.
Demonstrates strong knowledge of technical, process, and business principles as well as industry practices and standards.
Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.
