What we need:

The Director Applications Development, IT Delivery Manager, Digital Engineering & Experience (B2C) is a high-level leader that will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, overseeing the applications development lifecycle, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align technology initiatives with business goals. This role involves strategic planning, team management, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions that align with business goals and customer needs.  

What you’ll do:

  • Implement the overall applications development strategy aligned with the company's business objectives.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance the use of technology to support business needs and innovation.
  • Oversee digital engineering delivery for B2C brand websites, B2C mobile apps, customer-facing web applications, and related digital products.
  • Define and execute the technology roadmap for applications development.
  • Lead cross-functional delivery across engineering, UX, QA, product, marketing, analytics, and platform teams to meet business priorities and roadmap commitments.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software development projects.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and meet quality standards.
  • Collaborate with business leaders, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and priorities.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external partners to address technology requirements.
  • Implement and enforce quality assurance processes to deliver reliable and scalable applications.
  • Establish and maintain coding standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with vendors to procure tools and services that enhance applications development.
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure the timely resolution of issues.
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with applications development projects.
  • Implement strategies to address potential security and compliance risks.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

What you have:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.   
  • 10+ years’ relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.   
  • 5+ years of management experience.

 

What you’re good at:

 

  • Experience with modern web and mobile app technologies, CMS platforms, analytics tools, accessibility standards, SEO, QA practices, DevSecOps, release management, and digital platform governance.
  • Developing proven team structure and processes that drive results.
  • Solid understanding of broader organization context and goals.
  • Able to delegate work effectively to team members; ensures tasks are completed without micromanaging.
  • Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations while preserving relationships.
  • Focused on and responsible for their team's productivity and collective impact.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, delegate, and manage time effectively.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • High degree of professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures to drive continuous improvement.
