What we need:

This is the senior level of the Product Data Specialist job family.  This position uses proven experience and advanced skills to assist with plans, designs and documentation for departmental or divisional performance measurement systems.  Involves interpreting data submitted by sales, operations, product development and customers and creating and maintaining queries, databases, compliance reports and other miscellaneous reports to draw conclusions. Performs senior level administrative duties, financial and statistical reporting, data base maintenance and communications (to include Internet/Intranet/Web) for the division, on the behalf of sales, manufacturing, product development and sales support.


What you'll do:

  • Research, plan, organize and conduct needs analysis to determine division/department resource needs.  Provides statistical and other relevant information for planning activities.
  • Create and run detailed reports, queries, analysis, and other requests using information provided by sales, product development, design, product management and operations and other resource data.
  • Assist sales, sales support, marketing, product management, product development, operations and sales leadership by providing metrics, trend, tracking, and forecasts for future planning.
  • Work with internal personnel and external resources, labs, vendors, customers and consultants to better capture, interpret and organize reporting information.
  • Assist with plans, designs and documentation for departmental or divisional performance measurement systems. 
  • Coordinate process measurement requirements to ensure efficient and effective use of department resources.  Modify the planning, forecasting, budgeting and reporting processes accordingly. 
  • Assist with and provide primary and secondary data for organization structure analysis, work process analysis, process mapping and project development.  Make recommendation for new and revised business policies, procedures and practices incorporating total quality methodologies and concepts.
  • May work directly with Information technology or participate as a project team member on system implementation, upgrades, modification, routine master files maintenance, etc.
  • Conduct random and/or routine system information audits to ensure database with the highest degree of accuracy at all times.
  • Acts as liaison between internal corporate or divisional leadership, sales, operations, product development and product management, sales support and compliance to field based personnel, labs, vendors and customers.
  • Perform research for special projects as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


What you have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred or equivalent work experience in related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), AS400, Databases, The Internet and related applications
