Dal-Tile is currently seeking an exceptional Commercial Sales Manager to join our TEAM! As the Commercial Sales Manager, we need someone who is ready to provide a variety of support such as traveling throughout the Mid-South and South East regions to coach and train Arch Rep team, relationship building with top A & D community, and collaborates with National Account Managers.
Primary Objective:
- Increase commercial sales in designated sales territories by managing and assisting Architectural Representatives who are calling on Architects, Designers and National Accounts for the purpose of obtaining proprietary specifications for Dal-Tile.
Major Function and Scope:
- Travels throughout assigned regions to ensure that Arch Reps are calling on regular and prospective customers including Architects, Designers, Developers, General Contractors and National Accounts.
- Reviews weekly Arch Rep activity through various vehicles to insure relationships with the Top 25 architectural firms and the Top 25 design firms are in place.
- Works in unison with National Account Managers to insure all segments are covered to procure and maintain national accounts.
- Emphasizes new product promotion by Arch Reps to keep new technologies in front of the A&D community.
- Ensures that Arch Reps join A&D affiliations that will benefit Dal-Tile.
- Attends and critiques Arch Reps on product knowledge seminars with architectural and design firms.
- Develops in-depth knowledge and expertise about all Dal-Tile products, allied products, and installation methods.
- Attends Large Project Meetings to make sure that they are being chaired with effective results.
- Regularly tests Arch Reps to ensure that they are at the level of qualification assigned prior to promotions or salary increases.
- Leads Mohawk commercial sales collaborations.
- Works with architects expanding scope of project (natural stone, manufactured stone, quartz etc).
- Mentors and coaches’ team on best practices in relations to sales, margin and time management.
- Performs other assigned duties as required by VP Commercial Sales.
The Commercial Sales Manager will support the following States:
- Kentucky
- Tennessee
- Alabama
- Mississippi
- Arkansas
- Louisiana
- Florida
Experience and Knowledge Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience.
- Five or more years of architectural sales or industry experience.
Competencies:
- Strong communication skills exercises independent judgment and initiative in order to make good management decisions. Advanced computer skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
