We’re looking for a talented, creative and energetic Assistant Marketing Manager to join our Marketing team in Dallas, Texas.  The Assistant Marketing Manager  will closely collaborate and work with the Brand Marketing Manager and other business leaders to develop new initiatives in support of all Media, Advertisement and Tradeout strategies for the Daltile brand.

 

Primary Objective:

  • The day-to-day planning and execution of tactical activities and projects in support of the company’s Media and Network Tradeout strategy.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Works under the direction of the Brand Marketing Manager and Marketing Leadership team to help reach the company’s advertising goals and objectives; and to plan & implement annual marketing campaigns.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of the company’s advertising strategy through various advertising media.
  • Perform industry research to identify trends and industry needs / interests
  • Analyses surveys, polls and other market research to look for patterns and trends to spreadsheets and helps to create data and reports for marketing manager and other brand leaders.
  • Working directly with advertising agencies on annual media buys and negotiating contracts specifications and terms.
  • Working directly with contacts from Network Show Homes on annual tradeout opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key media vendors.
  • Plan and Manage yearly Advertising / Product Tradeout Budget
  • Collaborate with different departments to develop marketing campaigns suited to different business needs.
  • Lead, develop and implement the company’s advertising media buy strategy through various advertising media channels.
  • Overseeing the design and content of an advertising campaign to ensure it meets the needs of the target audience.
  • Consistently managing and overseeing advertising campaigns to ensure they’re engaging customers / clients and bringing in results
  • Analyzing results from each campaign to determine what was successful and what to improve for the next campaign.
  • Lead brainstorming sessions with cross functional team members to cultivate ideas for new advertising campaign concepts, including content and design elements.
  • Manage, create, execute, proof and edit a variety of marketing advertisement materials including media kits, branding, digital, print, videography, eblast campaigns, promotional tools, templates, presentations, case studies, installation photography purchases, etc.
  • Develop timelines / tracking, action plans and associated communication documents for all projects and ensure all deadlines are met adhering to approved budgets.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations & benchmarks with team members and other stakeholders / departments.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
    • Prepare weekly project status reports on projects based on current and active projects for supervisor.
  • Accountable for accuracy of all marketing materials.
    • Provides accurate & timely proofing, fact-checking, copy-writing/editing, and formatting assistance during the creation of all marketing materials.
  • Entering in and scheduling product orders for advertisement projects and tradeout opportunities.
  • Help plan annual media events with key partners / stakeholders

 

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in the Marketing Advertising field, preferably in the flooring industry
  • Bachelors Degree required
  • Experience with Project Management
  • In depth understanding of common marketing and advertising best practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Decisiveness and strong problem solving skills, especially under stress
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point
  • Strong Team Player
  • Strong multi-tasking and time management skills, especially when working with multiple projects / teams.
  • Collaboration Skills when working on projects with clients and cross functional teams
  • Data analysis and critical thinking skills to review and apply campaign results
  • Ability to make effective and efficient decisions when planning, scheduling and implementing campaigns
  • Event Management Skillset
  • Knowledge of Workfront Preferred
  • Knowledge of Smartsheet Preferred
  • Strong Creative Eye a Plus!
  • Availability to travel for business if needed
  • Able to work independently 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
