The Supervisor Distribution is an entry-level leader who is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and directing the day-to-day operational activities of their designated distribution center. This role is responsible for training and developing hourly employees, estimating personnel needs, assigning tasks, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of work, and interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies.
Currently, the 3rd shift schedule is Sunday through Thursday from 9:00pm-5:30am.
The new schedule (effective 12/2/24) will be Monday through Friday from 11:30pm-8:00am .
Duties and Responsibilities of the position:
• Supervise the department distribution functions, which may include reviewing orders and/or schedules to ensure that activities within the department are completed according to established schedules, determining work priorities and work assignments required to meet the established schedule, and coordinating proper staffing and equipment needs to accomplish daily operational objectives cost-effectively and efficiently.
• Maintain necessary inventory of materials and supplies in the work area to satisfy daily operational demands.
• Supervise the movement of finished goods through the warehouse from receiving through shipping and returns.
• Select, hire, train, and appraise Distribution Team Members to attain the highest quality standards of service and achieve optimal productivity levels.
• Complete performance evaluations and perform continuous performance feedback.
• Provide a safe work environment that meets the guidelines of the Company safety program while achieving the departmental safety goals.
• Continuously measure/monitor performance according to established standards.
• Perform other duties as needed.
Required Experience and Education.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• 4-6 years relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 0-2 years of management experience.
