Dal-Tile is currently seeking an exceptional Checker to join our TEAM! As the Checker, we need someone who is ready to provide a variety of support such as packing and verifying orders and labeling boxes.

Shift: 3rd Shift

• Monday - Friday 
• 11:30 PM-8:00 AM

Pay Rate:

• Entry Rate: $17.51
• 3-month Progression Increase: $ 18.57
• Plus $1.00 shift differential

Primary Objective 

• Packs, checks, and verifies orders for shipping. 

Major Function and Scope 

• Wraps and packs products by hand into boxes for shipping. 
• Label boxes with packing slips. 
• Verifies orders for accuracy. 
• Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor. 
• Follows standard operating and safety procedures. Keeps area safe, clean, and organized. 
• Operates sit-down forklift. 
• Performs other related duties as required.

Experience and Knowledge Required 

• Requires a high school diploma—ability to read and write English. 
• Previous distribution/warehouse experience is a plus, not required. 

Competencies 

• Good oral and written communication skills, record-keeping skills, listening skills, accurate measurement capability, ability to understand and speak basic English, and ability to work safely and conscientiously.

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. 
• The associate is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. 
• The associate may be required to sometimes sit, climb, or balance. 
• The associate may lift and/or move up to 110 pounds. 
• Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. 
• While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. 
• The associate is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
