Job Objective: 


The Sustainability Specialist is an established performer that focuses on enhancing sustainability performance, promoting sustainable practices, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. This role will assist in developing, implementing, and managing Sustainability initiatives across the organization.

 

Duties and Responsibilities of the Position: 

 

•Help implement Sustainability programs and initiatives that align with the company's strategic goals.
•Support Sustainability projects, including energy efficiency, waste reduction, water conservation, and carbon footprint reduction.
•Collaborate with various departments to integrate sustainability into business operations and decision-making processes.
•Collect, analyze, and report on sustainability metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
•Prepare sustainability reports for internal and external stakeholders, including annual sustainability reports.
•Track progress towards Sustainability goals and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
•Document sustainable sourcing policies and supplier assessments.
•Monitor and evaluate supplier compliance with sustainability standards.
•Work with procurement and supply chain teams to enhance the sustainability of products and services.
•Participate in cross-functional teams focused on Sustainability projects and initiatives.
•Perform other duties as needed. 

 

Required Experience and Education:


•Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
•2-4 years of job-related experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Competencies: 


•Demonstrates strong knowledge of technical, process, and business principles as well as industry practices and standards.
•Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
•Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
•High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
•Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.

•The ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
