The Sr Manager Technical Services is a senior-level manager who proactively collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, optimize processes, and drive innovation in manufacturing. This role will be responsible for overseeing technical aspects of our manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with industry standards.

 

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $112,000 and $140,000 per year at the commencement of employment. Compensation and range may vary by location. Final base pay is determined based on job-related factors such as work location, skills, experience, education, and training, consistent with applicable state and local laws. Base pay is one component of the total compensation package, which may also include incentive compensation, commissions (if applicable), discretionary bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and company-sponsored benefits. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities of the Position:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the Technical Services team, including engineers, technicians, and specialists, to ensure smooth operations and optimal performance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve manufacturing efficiency, reduce downtime, and increase productivity.
  • Ensure that all manufacturing processes meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
  • Implement and maintain quality management systems to track and monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization to enhance manufacturing efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean Six Sigma projects, Kaizen events, and root cause analysis, to drive operational excellence.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies, providing guidance and support to Production teams as needed.
  • Collaborate with R&D and Engineering teams to introduce new products, processes, and technologies into manufacturing.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental requirements, implementing measures to prevent accidents and minimize environmental impact.
  • Promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship throughout the organization.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

 

Required Experience and Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • 8-10 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of management experience.

  • High degree of professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures.

 

Other Pertinent Job Information:

  • This employee will be responsible for direct reports.
  • Occasional exposure to hazardous conditions caused by noise, moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and other conditions associated with a high-traffic production floor.
  • Must be able to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time.
  • Bending, crouching, and stooping may be required.
  • Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled facilities.
  • The work environment may be a noisy, high-traffic manufacturing production floor.
  • May be required to work a flexible schedule to include evening and night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day.
  • The ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
