OPERATOR II  -  KILN DEPARTMENT

PAY:    $17.35 per hour

SHIFT:  6am to 6pm

1st WEEK:  Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday (36 hours)

2nd WEEK:  Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday (48 hours

Monitors movement of tile through the kiln firing process.

• Monitors tile entering and exiting the kiln to ensure process is operating efficiently. 
• Inspects tile for defects.
• Records temperature of kiln every hour during shift.
• Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.
• Follows standard operating procedures.
• Keeps area safe, clean and organized.
• Performs other related duties as required.

High school diploma or equivalent experience.  1 or more years previous manufacturing/production experience.  Good oral and written communications skills.  Good record keeping skills. Good listening skills. Accurate measurement capability.  Ability to understand and speak basic English
