Dal-Tile is currently seeking an exceptional Trainer to join our TEAM! As the Trainer, we need someone who is ready to provide a variety of support such as creating training materials and coaching and training team members on PIT equipment and safety. 

 

  • Shift: Flexibility to work any shift
  • Pay: $22.50

 

Primary Objectives:

  • Primarily responsible for providing on-job training (OJT) to new hires and tenured employees.
  • Must be committed to learning and becoming a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all operational and safety processes & procedures within the organization. 
  • The trainer will spend most of their time on the warehouse floor observing, coaching, and evaluating employees. 
  • The trainer will also be called upon to complete warehouse-related tasks such as equipment operation and material handling based on business needs. 
  • The trainer will provide new hire training and assess prospective candidates on equipment to ensure skill knowledge. 
  • This role will work flexible shifts and assist RDC/PDC facilities as needed. 

 

Major Function and Scope:

  • Tailors training materials and provides direction to trainees 
  • Ability to assess, coach, train, and certify team members on Powered Industrial Equipment usage and safety aspects Leads and participates in OJT training within a warehouse/logistics-based environment. 
  • Works closely with Team Leads, Supervisors, Management, and HR to understand the individual training needs of each employee Implements and develops teaching aids based on the needs of the workforce. 
  • Oversees and facilitates testing and evaluation procedures to be used for completion of training. 
  • Conducts training sessions covering specified areas such as new employee orientation. 
  • Will provide OJT training, use of RDTs and relevant software, customer service, techniques, health and safety practices, refresher training, promotional development, upgrading, and retraining team members as needed
  • Reports on the progress of employees under their direction during training periods 
  • Provide and respond with clear communication to the management team (e-mail, verbal, etc.) 
  • Perform other duties as assigned 

 

Experience and Knowledge Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience. 
  • 5+ distribution/warehouse experience. 
  • Preferable Dal-Tile distribution/warehouse experience who is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within this field.

  • Ability to understand and speak basic English.
