TILE - SORTING OPERATOR/UTILITY - C SHIFT

Receiving

• Operates various powered industrial trucks to receive materials into the plant and prepare for stocking.
• Will work with the receiving clerk and other departments to ensure all shipments are off loaded in a timely manner.
• Maintains any paper work obtained from the freight lines and turns into the appropriate person.
• Quantity verification of Bill of Ladings that you sign for from trucks received.
• Responsible for ensuring items received are cataloged in the designated areas, per 5S and visual workplace standards.

Cleaning

• Operates various powered floor scrubbers to maintain a reasonably clean floor.

• Checks equipment to make sure it is operating at peak efficiency.
• Follows safety guidelines and safe operating parameters set forth by equipment manufacturer.

General

• Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.

• Maintains daily sign off sheet for all equipment operated
• Follows standard operating and safety procedures.
• Keeps area safe, clean and organized.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Core Competencies include good oral and written communications skills. Good record keeping skills. Good listening skills. Accurate measurement capability. Ability to work in a safe and conscientious manner. Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.
