The Supervisor Sourcing is an entry-level leader that manages the day-to-day operations of the Sourcing function. This role will be responsible for ensuring assigned areas operate in a cost effective and efficient manner to achieve defined business objectives and goals.

Lead and supervise the Sourcing team as well as provide guidance, coaching, and support.

· Oversee day-to-day sourcing activities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

· Provide direction to team according to established policies and management guidance.

· Oversee day-to-day work schedules and plans.

· Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical sourcing practices.

· Review relevant factors to analyze situations and resolve issues.

· Utilize data and metrics to drive efficiency and effectiveness in the sourcing process.

· Locate vendors of materials, equipment, or supplies to determine product availability and terms of sales.

· Responsible for achieving defined business objectives and contributes to department KPI’s.

· Conduct forecasting for raw material cost and consumption.

· Continuously analyze market and delivery conditions to ensure present and future material availability.

· Work with Manufacturing, Engineering, R&D and Product Development to develop product specifications and source substitute and new materials.

· May handle complex problems pertaining to sourcing, purchasing, suppliers, inventory, claims, and customer relations.

· Actively involved in sourcing invectives and provides support to resolving problems.

· Work towards achieving sourcing sales and margin objectives.

· Visit suppliers and manufacturing plants to ensure product quality and service.

· Perform other duties as needed.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.

· 4-6 years’ relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.

· 0-3 years of management experience preferred.

· Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in own job discipline or field.

· Focused on and responsible for their team's productivity and collective impact.

· Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.

· Able to multitask, prioritize, delegate, and manage time effectively.

· High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.

· Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.

· Flexible attitude, adaptable to change, team player, and able to handle multiple projects at once.

· High degree of professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures.

This employee will be responsible for direct reports.

· This position may require some travel.
