Dal-Tile is currently seeking an exceptional Regional Distribution Manager to join out TEAM! As the Regional Distribution Manager, we need someone who is ready to plan and direct all warehouse activities involved in the storing and distributing of finished goods inventories. Assures the timely and efficient distribution of inventory in order to attain maximum sales potential.

 

Primary Objective

 

Plans and directs all warehouse activities involved in the storing and distributing of finished goods inventories. Assures the timely and efficient distribution of inventory in order to attain maximum sales potential.

 

Major Function and Scope

 

Establishes, monitors, and facilitates efficient production and quality standards to meet logistic schedules.

Ensures compliance with all Safety, Quality and Governmental requirements.

Oversees implementation of shipping schedules, QC and Preventative Maintenance programs, and production standards.

Plans, develops and implements long-term strategic planning of distribution goals, personnel development, and business objectives.

Establishes, maintains and analyzes budgets, records, and other controls to keep costs at a minimum consistent with efficient operations.

Reviews financial/purchasing performance of the distribution center.

Ensures appropriate staffing and training of organization as needs are identified.

Ensures safe and healthful working conditions and an organized work environment.

Coaches and reviews performance of direct reports.

Supports company affirmative action plans and goals.

 

Experience and Knowledge Required

 

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Knowledge of OSHA and/or environmental compliance.

Knowledge of general business practices and basic cost accounting principles.

Requires 10 or more years’ experience in distribution with at least 6 years previous management experience. Experience in dealing with all levels of management and with resolving customer issues.

 

Competencies

 

Core competencies include strong communication and interpersonal skills, listening skills, organization, data analysis and interpretation. Strong leadership skills. Ability to plan, schedule, relate ideas, and coordinate priorities. Good computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, databases and presentations.
