Job Objective:
The Manager Distribution is a first-level manager who leads an assigned Distribution team to plan and direct warehouse and/or distribution activities. This role will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day activities of the distribution process, from inventory management to order fulfillment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise the assigned department distribution functions which may include overseeing inventory and shipment of goods, oversee cycle count, maintaining accurate inventory amounts to support daily operational demands, coordinating logistics, conducting training, and other required responsibilities as they relate to distribution.
- Oversee day-to-day work schedules and plans.
- Identify and recommend staffing requirements for assigned locations.
- Responsible for budgeting and attainment of regional profitability objectives.
- Direct movement of materials from shipment areas to storage and work areas.
- Provide direction to team according to established policies and management guidance.
- Review relevant factors to analyze situations and resolve issues.
- Recommend facility expansions, improvements, and efficiencies to operation.
- Maintain positive relationships with customers and sales staff to excellent customer service.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety, Quality and Governmental requirements.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Required Experience and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- 6-8 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1-3 years of management experience.
- Knowledge of DOT compliance required.

Other Pertinent Job Information:
- This employee will be responsible for direct reports.
- Up to 50% travel may be required based on region/assigned locations.
- May occasionally work in a non-temperature-controlled warehouse environment.
