Job Objective:
The VP Sourcing is a senior leadership position responsible for the development and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives across the organization. This role ensures the sourcing function delivers value through cost optimization, supplier partnerships, risk mitigation, and alignment with business objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Position:
• Collaborates with executive leadership to align sourcing strategy with overall company goals, driving long-term value and competitive advantage.
• Develops and executes sourcing strategies that optimize total cost of ownership, quality, and supplier performance across direct and indirect categories.
• Establishes and nurtures strategic supplier partnerships to support innovation, sustainability, and supply assurance.
• Builds and leads a high-performing sourcing team, fostering professional development and succession planning.
• Oversees sourcing initiatives and negotiates complex contracts and agreements that deliver financial and operational value.
• Partners with internal stakeholders in operations, product development, finance, and legal to ensure sourcing initiatives support cross-functional needs.
• Defines sourcing policies, governance frameworks, and compliance protocols in alignment with corporate risk management standards.
• Drives continuous improvement in sourcing processes, systems, and analytics, including the use of digital procurement tools and dashboards.
• Leads efforts to assess supplier risk, implement contingency plans, and respond to supply chain disruptions.
• Monitors sourcing performance through KPIs and regularly reports on progress, savings, and strategic impact to senior leadership.
• Manages sourcing budgets and resource planning to support both current and future business needs.
• Collaborates with the executive team to develop and implement strategic plans that align with the company's vision and goals.
• Provides visionary leadership to drive growth and innovation.
• Identifies and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and market expansions.
• Leads initiatives to enhance the company's market presence and competitiveness.
• Provides strong leadership to department heads and teams.
• Fosters a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Identifies and assess risks to the company's success.
• Implements effective risk management strategies.
• Drives a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Leads initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Builds and maintain relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
• Ensures high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
• Performs other duties as needed.
Required Experience and Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
• 15+ years relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.
• 10+ years of management experience.
