The Senior Analyst, IT Supply Chain Warehouse Management, is a key contributor responsible for supporting and optimizing warehouse management processes, with SAP S/4 EWM at the core. This role involves exposure to all areas of warehouse management, including inbound receiving, outbound shipping, putaway, picking, staging, cross-docking, inventory management, labor management, yard management, and automation. The role will also be responsible for analyzing business requirements, designing high-level solutions and estimates, and configuring SAP S/4 EWM.

 

Duties and Responsibilities of the Position

  • Leverage deep knowledge of warehouse operations to design, configure, and optimize SAP S/4HANA EWM solutions to support key processes such as receiving, putaway, picking, packing, staging, and shipping.
  • Act as a bridge between warehouse operations, business, and IT, translating business needs into effective SAP EWM solutions.
  • Analyze end-to-end warehouse workflows and identify areas for improvement, ensuring system solutions align with operational best practices.
  • Design and implement scalable SAP EWM functionality to support core warehouse functions including cross-docking, inventory control, labor management, and yard operations.
  • Collaborate closely with warehouse managers, supervisors, and floor personnel to gather insights, validate system designs, and ensure practical applicability of technical solutions.
  • Support the integration of automation technologies such as conveyors, sortation systems, and robotics into SAP EWM, with an understanding of operational requirements and constraints.
  • Lead and contribute to SAP EWM configuration, testing, and deployment activities, ensuring minimal disruption to warehouse operations.
  • Provide functional support, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement for live SAP EWM environments, with a strong grasp of real-world warehouse challenges.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of system enhancements, upgrades, and new implementations of SAP EWM.
  • Develop clear and relevant documentation including process flows, system diagrams, functional specs, and more.
  • Stay current with industry trends in warehouse management and SAP’s roadmap for EWM and then apply this knowledge to recommend system and process innovations.

Required Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • 4–6 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven experience with warehouse management systems, including a solid understanding of the system development life cycle, application development dynamics, and IT best practices.
  • 4+ years hands-on configuration experience with SAP S/4HANA EWM.
  • Involvement in large-scale SAP implementations or transformation initiatives.
  • Configuration experience with Yard Management, Labor Management, and Material Flow System (MFS) is a plus.
  • Technical SAP expertise is a plus.

  • Proficient in project management tools, issue tracking systems, software development processes, SAP, and Microsoft Office.
  • Positive, adaptable, and collaborative team player, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exercises professionalism, sound judgment, and resourcefulness, especially in environments with limited formal processes.
  • Knowledge of SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) audit framework and experience with quarterly/annual review processes.
