The Sr Accounting Coordinator is an established performer that supports the department by completing clerical work and monitoring records. This role also serves as a point of contact to resolve any questions from internal or external stakeholders for assigned accounts.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Position:
- Prepare and publish monthly journal entries.
- Prepare general ledger accounts reconciliations for assigned accounts and take necessary steps to troubleshoot and correct issues.
- Review balance sheet reports and report any significant fluctuations in accrued liabilities.
- Contact IT if reconciliation downloads are not functioning properly.
- Perform system administrator duties for the Rebate System (Vistex).
- Work to resolve discrepancies in the balancing process between Vistex and SAP.
- Assist with the development, documentation, and implementation of accounting procedures, policies, and standards.
- Assist with training less experienced team members, include quality checking their work, training, technical guidance, and serving as a resource for resolution of issues.
- Assist management with planning, implementing, and monitoring department goals.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Required Experience and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
- 0-2 years’ relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.

- Applies conceptual knowledge of the theories, practices, and procedures within a discipline.
- Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products with highly strong Excel skills.
- Knowledge of accounting terminology, practices, and concepts.
- High degree of professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures.
