The QA Analyst is an established performer that is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software and systems through testing and validation processes. This role focuses on identifying defects, ensuring compliance with standards, and contributing to the improvement of product quality.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Position:

  • Performs manual and automated testing of software applications to ensure functionality, performance, and reliability.
  • Analyzes business and technical requirements to develop and execute test plans.
  • Designs and implements test cases, scripts, and procedures to validate software performance.
  • Identifies and reports software defects, working with development teams to resolve issues.
  • Maintains and improves the quality assurance process to align with industry best practices.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and contribute to the development of quality standards.
  • Supports the deployment and maintenance of quality control tools and technologies.
  • Conducts exploratory testing to discover unanticipated issues in software applications.
  • Maintains thorough documentation of test results and quality metrics.
  • Provides training and mentoring to team members on QA best practices and processes.
  • Works on projects and assignments as part of a large work team.
  • Performs accurate analyses, conducts research, and draws meaningful conclusions about potential job/work-area impacts.
  • Draws from prior experience, interprets facts, and identifies incomplete data/anomalies to solve problems.
  • Uses innovative solutions to enhance personal work and, where applicable, the work of the team.
  • Effectively applies functional, process, and procedural or technical imagination to address business challenges.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to entry-level professionals.
  • Influences others within the job area through explanation of facts and policies to resolve routine issues.
  • Performs other duties as needed.

 

Required Experience and Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • 2-4 years relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.

 

Competencies: 

  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of technical, process, and business principals, industry practices and standards.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Suite of products.
