Location: Dal-Tile Dallas Corporate Office - In-Person Internship - May 19th - August 15th

Dal-Tile is currently seeking motivated and passionate individuals for our Summer Internship Program. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to innovative projects in the tile manufacturing industry. Project Overview:

This summer, the intern will assist in evaluating American shale as a potential raw material. The project must be completed by August in accordance with our agreement with the landowner. The intern will play a key role in sample preparation, analysis, and data management to support this evaluation.

Responsibilities:

• Sample Preparation & Evaluation – Prepare shale samples for physical and chemical analysis, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

• Fired Properties Testing – Press and fire samples to evaluate material behavior and performance.

• Fine Grinding & Chemical Analysis – Process raw shale materials for chemical composition testing.

• Data Logging & Reporting – Maintain detailed data logs, record test results, and assist in reporting findings to the R&D team.

• Collaboration & Process Optimization – Work closely with engineers and technicians to ensure efficient testing procedures and material characterization.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Materials Science, Chemical, Mechanical, or related field).

• Currently a Junior or Senior in college
