The IT Summer Intern will support the IT team by designing and building a SharePoint knowledge platform for users of the Warehouse Management System (WMS). This internship will focus on knowledge management, AI agent configuration, and user experience design within a corporate technology environment. The selected intern will develop and implement a Microsoft 365 Copilot Agent designed to answer WMS user questions, improving access to information and enhancing operational efficiency. This internship is structured as a project-based experience to be completed within the 12-week program. This position is located at the Dallas Corporate office and is an onsite internship opportunity. This is not a remote role.
The selected intern will present project outcomes and conduct a live demonstration at our annual Intern Expo Day on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.
Program Details
Program Dates: Monday, May 18, 2026 – Friday, August 7, 2026
Length: 12 Weeks
Schedule: Full-time, hourly
Required: Must be available for the full program duration and attend/present at Intern Expo Day
Project Scope & Responsibilities
The IT Summer Intern will support the following initiatives:
SharePoint Knowledge Site Development
Design and build a SharePoint site to serve as a centralized knowledge hub for Warehouse Management System (WMS) users
Collect, organize, and structure WMS-related documentation and operational content
Develop a user-friendly navigation structure and improve knowledge accessibility
M365 Copilot Agent Configuration
Create and configure a Microsoft 365 Copilot Agent to answer WMS user questions
Use the SharePoint site as the primary knowledge source
Define scoped access, topics, intents, and guardrails to ensure safe and appropriate responses
Implement governance controls to protect sensitive information
Prompt Engineering & UX Optimization
Develop and refine suggested prompts and conversation flows, including starter questions and troubleshooting paths
Iterate and improve based on user feedback to enhance response quality and usability
Focus on creating a positive end-user experience
Testing & Validation
Conduct functional and UAT-style testing scenarios with WMS users
Document findings, enhancements, and iterative improvements
Prepare and deliver a final presentation and live demo at Intern Expo
Project Impact
A successful internship will:
Improve knowledge access for WMS users
Enhance self-service support capabilities through AI
Create scalable AI-driven support tools within Microsoft 365
Deliver measurable improvements in response accuracy and usability
Demonstrate a live, functional AI solution to leadership at Intern Expo
Qualifications
Open to students of any major and any class year
Interest in AI agents, automation, knowledge management, or user experience design
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Comfortable working with Microsoft 365 tools (SharePoint experience is a plus)
Curious, collaborative, and eager to learn
Strong communication and documentation skills
