The Forecast Analyst will support demand planning and the forecasting process and systems. You will examine inventory levels, sales data, and demand for product to determine the company's optimal production levels and potential future sales. You will make use of several types of measurements and financial modeling to make accurate predictions and contribute to Dal-Tile overall company success and efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilitie

  • Analyzes and assists in the reporting of sales, forecast, and annual plan by Team-Origin and SBU: sales vs. forecast, sales vs. plan, old forecast vs. new forecast, new forecast vs. annual plan, operating forecast vs. financial forecast.
  • Collects and maintains a list of all market intelligence used in the operational forecast.
  • Analyzes and quantifies the market intelligence data, then maintains the data within the demand planning database for use in supply planning.
  • Performs multi-level review of the operational forecast to ensure accuracy at the aggregate levels and at the detailed levels: Team, SBU, Product Line, Color, Shape, Tile Type, Item and Item-Location.
  • Leads the review of the product line forecasts during week-1 of the financial calendar.Develops new tools to analyze the operational forecast and quickly react to market intelligence. Creates specialized operational forecasts for RDCs, SBUs, and Teams.
  • Incorporates all Home Center Services market intelligence into the operational forecast.
  • This includes, but is not limited to information from weekly Home Center conference calls, Lowe’s and Home Depot internally prepared forecast to Dal-Tile, quarterly reconciliations with the HCS-SBU financial forecast and the creation of new product rollout and replenishment forecasts.
  • Maintains multiple weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to various users inside and outside of the department. 
  • Also relied upon for fast and accurate ad-hoc requests.Takes lead in additional duties such as S&OP data preparation and other departmental projects.

 

Education and Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Logistics, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Finance or related field.

 

Experience & Skills:

  • 1 or more years’ experience in supply chain management and/or 1+ years of direct forecasting experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Access and MS Excel (some VBA experience preferred but not required).
  • Experience/proficiency in Demantra, SAP (ECC), SAP (IBP) and SQL forecasting applications

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills (written and verbal).
