The  EDI Manager  is a first level manager that manages day-to-day activities of the implementation, optimization, and maintenance of EDI/B2B solutions boosting efficiency & driving business growth. This role leads a team in managing EDI strategy, resolving technical issues, collaborating closely with IT teams, and external vendors to ensure the successful deployment and utilization of EDI/B2B tools and platforms.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Position:

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of supply chain systems EDI/B2B team oversees design, development set up of ensuring reliability and alignment with business needs.
  • Manage a team responsible for system support, maintenance, and enhancements, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with customer service, sales, IT, and external vendors to troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues.  Ensure effective operations with existing trading partners and smooth implementation of new ones.
  • Oversee the testing, configuration architecture, and deployment of new system functionalities, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Analyze system performance and supply chain data to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.
  • Develop and implement strategies for optimizing system workflows, ensuring efficient operations and scalability.
  • Provide guidance and training to team members and end-users, promoting best practices and effective system utilization.
  • Maintain and update system documentation, including user manuals, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
  • Support cross-functional projects and initiatives, ensuring supply chain systems EDI/B2B integrates seamlessly with other business processes.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPI’s) related to EDI performance & implementations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending improvements to existing systems and processes. (EDI and PDF AI Automation)
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and applicable regulatory requirements related to supply chain systems.
  • Performs other duties as needed.

 

Required Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • 6-8 years relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • 1-3 years of management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP OTC & EDI/B2B experience preferred.
  • Platforms – SPS Commerce, BizTalk, Sterling Preferred
  • Familiar with EDI Connectivity methods: FTP, AS2, VANs Preferred
  • Knowledge of EDI standards (ANSI X12) Preferred
  • Experience with a combination of the following EDI messaging a plus:

850, 855, 860, 865, 856, 870, 810, 997, 858, 824, 753, 754, 940, 944, 943, 945, 997, 204, 997, 990 and 214
