The Sr Manager Business Development is a senior-level manager that manages business development projects and ensures consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues with existing and potential customers while building successful business relationships. This role plays a key role in developing and implementing strategies to achieve revenue targets and increase market share
Duties and Responsibilities of the Position
· Grow market share by increasing sales and sales volume, while maintaining company approved product margin goals.
· Accurately forecast annual, quarterly, and monthly sales targets.
· Manage product and samples inventory, and act as liaison between various departments.
· Research and analyze area market product and top accounts data to develop sales strategies.
· Utilize influence and negotiation skills to sell and/or place displays in customer’s showrooms.
· Collaborate with various departments and customers to prioritize and exceed customer needs.
· Manage compliance with all division policies and procedures.
· Maintain and issue prices lists for major sales accounts.
· Coach, review, and delegate work to lower-level professionals.
· Influence others regarding policies, practices, and procedures.
· Leverage creativity and comprehensive process, technical, or operational understanding to resolve a wide range of issues.
· Contribute to departmental strategy and goal development.
· Creatively and strategically support key business objectives.
· Participate in and may manage large, cross-functional projects or initiatives with strategic importance.
· Perform high-level critical thinking, detailed information gathering, and application of business knowledge.
· Proactively investigate and/or lead investigations of alternative approaches, technologies, or partnerships.
· Perform other duties as needed.
Required Experience and Education
· Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
· 8-10 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
· 3-5 years of management experience.
